Jio will bring the first 5G connectivity to India. The announcement was made by Mukesh Ambani, head of the company at the 44th RIL AGM 2021 on Thursday. In his words, 'Jio is working to create a 2G free and 5G India.' Mukesh Ambani further said that JioFiber broadband connection has risen to the top of popularity very fast in India. Speaking on the occasion, Mukesh Ambani said, “Jio's 5G service has already been tested in India. 1Gbps speed has been successfully found there. He added, 'Right now 3 million subscribers are using JioFiber regularly.' Jio will also launch 5G services in India with the help of Google Cloud, he said. Jio to launch first 5G network in India :

In Ambani's words, 'Jio's 5G network is fast-paced and globally competitive.' He added, ‘Recently we got the necessary permission for the 5G field trial. The work of installing a full 5G network in different data centers of the country is also in full swing. We are confident about launching the first 5G in the country. It won't take long for our network to quickly upgrade from 4G to 5G, because we use future-proof networks. 

Jio is the second-largest mobile network in the world at the moment. Jio subscribers use an average of 6.3 billion GB of data per month, an increase of about 45 percent over the past year. Jio has spent another Rs 57,123 crore to buy an additional spectrum. In addition, Mukesh Ambani's company has spent another Rs 15,183 crore to improve the country's mobile network infrastructure. As a result, another 200 million new customers will be added to the network. At the same time, Ambani urged the country's 300 million 2G subscribers to join their networks quickly.

The new 5G technology will open new horizons in the worlds of education, health, entertainment, and retail, Ambani said. On behalf of the company, it has also been reported that a connected ambulance will be built in collaboration with Hiranandani Reliance Foundation Hospital. The ambulance will also have remote doctor access and real-time high-definition telemedicine, he said. The company is also working with Reliance Foundation School to make education more attractive by creating AR and VR content for students. Jio will sell 5G technology to other telecom companies in different parts of the world, Ambani said.

In the last year alone, 2 million new JioFiber connections have been taken. Mukesh Ambani also made this announcement on Thursday. As a result, about 3 million subscribers in India now use regular JioFiber connections, and Reliance chief claims that GeoFiber is the fastest growing broadband service in the country at the moment. Data usage on JioFiber has tripled compared to a year ago. The connection has reached the homes of 1.2 crore customers in 100 cities across the country, Ambani said.

If JioPhone Next is the biggest announcement of the day, then the bigger announcement is the tie-up between Jio and Google Cloud for 5G services in India. Google Cloud will also be used in Jio's 5G service in the future. Also, from now on, Google Cloud will be used in various services of Jio. Google Cloud will be used for Reliance Retail, JioMart, JioSaavn, and JioHealth.
